The
overall objective of IMAMIS is to develop the ability of the
Philippines and neighbouring
countries to produce the mathematicians and computer scientists
relevant to
their economic and cultural needs. European and Asian teachers will
cooperate
in creating, in the Philippines first, innovative teaching involving
multidisciplinary approach associating
Mathematics with
Information Sciences and Finance, and introducing new partnership
between
universities and local companies. The scientific
program is built in order to both meet the
local economic needs
and satisfy the
students’ interest, and thus
contribute to increase
quality
and number of well trained scientists.
