We offer post-doctoral position in Analysis and PDE at Université Côte d'Azur, in the Laboratoire J.A. Dieudonné, Nice, France.

This position is funded by the European Research Counsel (ERC) Starting Grant "ANADEL - Analysis of the geometrical effects on dispersive equations" and can be held for up to two years. Research activities will be focused in some of the priority lines of the project, that will be identified accordingly to the candidate's profile. The project identifies many key topics :
  • Microlocal analysis, nonlinear PDE, hyperbolic equations on manifolds with/without boundary, dispersion, long time behavior of solutions, propagation et reflection of singularities, diffraction phenomenon.
The expecting starting date is September 2018, but a (slightly) different date may be possible.
Interviews (perhaps online) will be organised for selected applicants.


Job Description


The chosen postdoctoral researcher will carry out mathematical research with execellent facilities and world-wide academic network, at LJAD Nice, France, on some of the main scientific priorities of ANADEL.

The net salary is of approximatively 2 000- 2 300 euros per month, depending on the experience.

The successful candidate will not have any teaching obligations and will have financial support for conferences and invitations. The position will be an opportunity to join an active group of researchers in this area, and will provide opportunities for collaborations.

Requirements


PhD thesis in Mathematics, with emphasis on PDE, Analysis and / or Control Theory.
