ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (MCF) IN PROBABILITY, OPTIMISATION, CONTROL AT THE MATH DEPARTMENT

 

RESEARCH PROFILE

Université Côte d'Azur is seeking a promising researcher with an expertise in probability, optimisation or control theory., in their theoretical, numerical or applied aspects. The ability to work at the interfaces of these themes will be appreciated, but any excellent application focused on one of the domains will be fully considered.  The position appears in section 26/25 of the National Council of Universities.

The recruited person will contribute to the activities of the J. A. Dieudonné research unit, of the Graduate School Spectrum, to the projects of the Academy of Complex Systems and of the Maison de la Simulation et des Interactions by working in the following directions: the analysis or the  simulation of complex systems, mathematical modeling, the study, conception, developement or exploitation of techniques for data analysis and AI. He will be able to interact with the other research units of Université Côte dAzur or the other research insitutes nearby. 

TEACHING

The regular teaching load is about 190 hr/yr. Taeching duties are reducted at the beginning of the career.
The recruited colleague may be called to teach at any level of the 5 years of the university training.
He is expected to be committed to any training activity where probability, statistics, optimisation, numerical analysis and scientific computing are involved.
